LIC AAO Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are recommended to check the eligibility criteria first before filling up the application form for LIC AAO 2019. LIO AAO Eligibility Criteria are stated below. Read them carefully.

Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in any regulation from a recognized Indian University/Institution

AAO (IT)

MCA/M.Sc.(Computer Science)/any bachelor’s degree Engineering in Computer Science, IT or Electronics

AAO (Chartered Accountant)

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidate should have qualified Final Examination and completion of Articles as sponsored by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India that will be checked with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

AAO (Actuarial)

Bachelor’s Degree in from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Qualified paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. (Total 6 or more papers). Candidates should provide their membership number that will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

AAO (Rajbhasha)

Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English or n English with Hindi or Sanskrit with English and Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level

LIC AAO Apply online 2019

Candidates seeking for the application may visit the official website to fill the form. We have also provided a direct link for the sake of students in the Application form page. Before starting to fill the application form candidates must ensure the eligibility norms in order to prevent from any cancellation of the application form. The application form should be submitted with the complete and correct information duly with the application fee till the last date of submission.

Application Fee:

  • SC/ST/ PwBD candidates: Intimation Charges of Rs. 100/-

  • Other candidates: Application Fee-cum-Intimation Charges of Rs. 600/-

The application fee/intimate charges will be paid via online mode only. Candidates will also have to pay the transaction charges along with the application fee.

LIC AAO Admit Card/Call letters

The admit card for the examination will be available to download before a few days of examination. The admit card will be provided only for those candidates who will submit the online application along with the application fee till the last date. LIC AAO admit card 2019 will be available on the official website of LIC. We will also provide you a direct link to download the admit card. Candidate should attach a recent recognizable photograph on the call letter same as provided during registration.

Candidates will have to appear at the examination center with

  • Call Letter

  • Photo Identity Proof as designated in the Call Letter

  • Photocopy of the very Photo Identity Proof as induced in original.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist/ IT/ Chartered Accountant/ Actuarial/ Rajbhasha) will consist of 3 phases:

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Phase-II: Main Examination

Phase-III: Interview

Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination: All the shortlisted candidates in the final merit list compiled after the completion of three phases, will have to undergo Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if the candidate found medically fit, will be offered an appointment.

Preliminary Examination

After the successful completion of the application process, the eligible candidates will undergo for the Preliminary Examination. Preliminary Examination is the Phase-I of the selection procedure for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer. In order to appear in the Phase-II Examination (Main Examination), candidates have to qualify the preliminary examination. The examination mode will be online with objective type questions. The qualified candidates will proceed forward for further phases of the selection procedure.

Main Examination

The shortlisted candidates on the basis of Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will be eligible to appear in the Main Examination. The Main Examination will be in online mode with 300 marks of objective test and 25 marks of the descriptive test. Candidates will have to answer by typing on the computer of the descriptive test. The descriptive test will be determined promptly after the completion of the objective test.

Guidelines For Online Examination (Preliminary and Main examination)

  • A candidate will not be permitted to appear in the online examination without the following documents:

  • Valid Call letter for the corresponding date and session of Examination

  • Photo Identity proof (as specified) in original carrying the same name as it resembles on the call letter/application form.

  • Photocopy of photo identity proof.

  • Candidates reporting after the reporting time designated on the call letter for examination will not be allowed to take the online examination.

  • Candidates may be expected to be at the venue a few hours for performing various formalities such as verification and compilation of various necessary documents, Biometric data capture, logging in, delivering instructions etc.

LIC AAO Interview

The shortlisting of the candidates for the Interview (Phase-III of selection procedure) will be done on the basis of the performance of candidates in the Main Examination. The candidates who will pass the Main Examination will be called for the LIC AAO Interview Phase. LIC reserves the right to fix the eligibility standards in order to restrict the candidates to be called for interview and also fix the minimum marks to qualify in the interview. Candidates who secure less than qualifying marks in the interview will not be acknowledged for further process of recruitment.

Documents required to be submitted during the Interview:

  • The duly signed System Generated Print out of the On-line application.

  • Receipt of the fee.

  • Original and self-attested Photostat copies of all relevant certificates.

LIC AAO Merit List

Final merit listing of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Main Examination plus marks obtained in Interview. So, candidates have to qualify the Examination as well as the Interview Phase in order to get appointed for the desired post of LIC AAO. LIC AAO Result will be published on the official website of LIC. The qualified candidates will be able to obtain their result from the official website or through the direct link of this article.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates are s to satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility norms especially age, qualification, caste. If later during any stage of recruitment, the candidate found ineligible on any count, the candidature will be cancelled.

  • The fees/intimation Charges paid by ineligible candidates will be forfeited. No action or personal enquiries will be entertained by LIC in this regard.

  • After applying online, the candidates must keep a system generated print out of the application on A4 size paper and retain it after signing the same. There is no need to send this print out to Life Insurance Corporation of India. The printing of the online application will be accessible up to March 22, 2019, only.

  • Admission to online examination is only transient without verification of age/ qualification/category of the candidate with evidence to documents.

  • Candidates will be notified respectively in case of any variation in the date /center/venue of examination by e-mail and SMS.

  • Shortlisted candidates will receive Interview Call Letters on e-mail address given by the candidate at the time of online application. Applications for sending letters to another address subsequently will not be considered.

  • Candidates are suggested to kindly check the official website regularly and check their e-mail account for updated information concerning to the Recruitment till the final result of the recruitment process.
