Jai Prakash University
Jayaprakash University was established on 22 November 1990 by enactment of Section 3 (b) of the Bihar State University Act, 1976 with its headquarters at Chapra. The jurisdiction of the university is spread over three districts of the entire Saran division ie Saran, Siwan and Gopalganj. JPU has a total of 21 construction colleges, 11 affiliated colleges with 2 grant-colleges. Every year, many students enter and study at JPU.
