Munger University is a state university and Tilka Manjhi was established through the division of Bhagalpur University. Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui and Khagaria are part of these five districts under the Munger Division in Bihar. At present Munger University has 17 colleges, 12 affiliated colleges, 5 single faculty education colleges (affiliated B colleges) and one affiliated law colleges which are registered under Section 22 of UGC and AIU. It aims to focus on student-friendly teaching, research, and socially relevant curricula.
