Education Qualification:
Candidate must have completed Under Graduation from the recognized university with at least one of the subject namely Physics, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Botany, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology, and Zoology.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Agriculture or in Engineering.
IFS Exam Pattern 2020
Preliminary Exam
- Pre Exam will consist of two papers of 200 Marks each
- The question paper will be objective in nature
- The language will be in Hindi as well as in English
- Minimum Qualifying Marks is 33%
Mains Exam
Main Exam will be divided into two section
- Paper 1 – General English – 300 Marks
- Paper 2 – general knowledge – 300 Marks
Paper 3,4,5,6 – Optional Subject
Selection Procedure
Candidate has to first appear for the Civil Services Pre Exam which will act as screening exam candidates who will qualify the exam will appear for the IFS Mains Exam 2020 and then Personality test or Interview will be conducted to finally shortlist the candidates.
