IIT Madras PhD Admission 2020 Latest News: IIT Madras has extended the last date of submission of application form for July 2020. Check updated schedule from below.

IIT Madras PhD Admission 2020 admission brochure has been released. IIT Madras Research portal is open for Ph.D. / Direct Ph.D. / M.S. (by Research) ADMISSION for July 2020. The application form for above mentioned courses can be filled at research.iitm.ac.in. Candidates whose phd form is accepted will be called for the test or interview process by the department. Once the exam and interview process is complete the org releases the shortlisted candidates list who further participate the counseling process.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission in Phd / MS research programme candidates must fulfill the criteria mentioned below.

Candidates must have completed U.G/P.G degree are eligible.

Candidates in the final semester / year of UG/PG can are also eligible.

GATE 2020 Appeared candidates are also eligible to apply for July 2020

Application of candidates received from Nov 2019 to Feb 2020 are also eligible for July 2020 Admission except of form already considered for any time admission.

Application Fee:

GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Male candidates : Rs.100/-

GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Female candidates : Rs.50/-

SC/ST and PwD candidates : Rs.50/-

Candidates who want to apply for multiple department or programme have to register separate application and pay fee separately.

IIT Madras releases a list of students shortlisted for admission / written & interview depending on the programme the candidates have applied for. IIT Madras Phd result 2020 will be published here once it is released.

For Ph.D./Direct Ph.D./Upgraded to Ph.D.
Rs.31,000/- p.m. for first 2 years Rs.35,000/- p.m. for subsequent 3 years.
For M.S.
Rs.12,400/- p.m. for 2¹⁄₂ years
