Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidate must have passed class 10th with 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
- For SC / ST Candidates 5% relaxation is applicable on above cut off marks.
Age Limit ( as on 01 Oct 2019): 18 – 22 Years
Age relaxation:
- 5 Year for SC / ST
- 3 Year of OBC
Medical Standards
Height: Minimum height 157 cms
Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms
Weight: Proportionate to height and age +-10 percentage acceptable
Hearing: Normal
Visual Standard: 6/36 (Better Eye) and 6/36 (Worse Eye).

Indian Coast guard Navik Exam Pattern
There are three stages in selection procedure
Written Test:
This is a objective type exam in which question from various subjects listed below will be asked.
Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics, General Sciences, General English, General Awareness (Current Affairs & General Knowledge) and Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal).
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who qualifies the the written test goes for PFT and medical exam which takes 2-3 days.
The PFT will consist of:-
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
- 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak) 10 Push up.
- Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
Indian Coast guard Navik Selection Procedure
For selection of candidates exams in multiple stages will be conducted
Stage 1: Written Test
Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination (Preliminary)
