On the new moon of Vaishakh, Siddhartha was born as Shuddhodhana at Lumbini salt place and son Ratna in Mayadevi’s house. This Siddhartha grew up to be called Gautam Buddha or Mahatma Buddha. Seven days after the birth of Mahatma Buddha, his mother Mayadevi died. After which Mahatma Buddha was brought up by his step-mother.
